The Respiratory Care Department at Lurie Children's, in collaboration and coordination with other disciplines, provides comprehensive services to children in the greater Chicagoland area and beyond. The department utilizes new technology, including the use of high frequency ventilators, negative pressure ventilators, Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), and neurally adjusted ventilatory assist (NAVA). With over 140 years of excellence, we place kids and their families at the heart of everything we do.
